RizRaz

My oldest sister is a vegetarian so when our plans about Tivoli's China buffé were brutally crushed yesterday in Copenhagen, she insisted on taking us to a "vegetarian" restaurant with a big salad buffé called RizRaz. She is always trying to get us to eat her kind of food. Mission failed. I ordered a big veal steak with my salad (yes, you could do that because it was a "vegetarian" restaurant). To be quite honest, the food was not that good. It was a great mish - mash of different things and I still maintain: I don't eat food unless I can see what is in it.

Conclusion: The chefs at this restaurant have never heard of the word salt, nor have they heard about not putting cream on everything. The food was completely tasteless, and as I said to my family at the restaurant: With every bite I take from this food, I'm waiting for a hair to appear in my food and I will go and throw up. The atmosphere was horrid and everyone were speaking as if they were the only ones to be heard and my ears hurt as we left.

Nevertheless; they did serve a wonderful tzatziki, amazing hummus and very nice falafel, but that is pretty much it, so it was not a total waste :)

Illum

I went to Copenhagen with my mum and my sisters today. We were suppose to go to the amusement park Tivoli BUT: we seemed to have everything against us today! It started out with bad weather and stress stress stress to catch the train, non working credit cards etc. The real downer was when we got to Tivoli and they would not let us in because Kanye West was doing a concert there tonight. So, we had taken the train all the way to Copenhagen, prepaid the entrance... for nothing.

Instead we decided to go to Illum, a department store (very nice one) and as my sisters and mum were slowly looking at random things I found my own little heaven, the furniture section... :) I found so much I loved, and as you can see, my future home will be mostly wood and leather furniture. My sister had to drag me away from there if not I would have stayed there for hours. The best of pleasures...

ladies, I'm in my skinny dress.

Yesterday it happened! I could zip up my old evening gown from my high school prom. The feeling of being the same size as I was when I graduated from high school, only with bigger boobs, gives me enormous pleasure. The reason I tried it on is because in two weeks I will be going to RAUK:s summer ball with my sister, and my lovely little cousin, Hillevi, in Stockholm. Now I'm off to work!

always expect the unexpected.

I got back from Paris Sunday evening. It was good. Emotional, but good. I met my lovely friends, some new people and some very old ones.. The whole journey was quite unexpected to say the least...

Yesterday I found out that I got into a program Bachelor of Arts in European studies... I am not really sure what that means, it's all a bit unclear. All I know is that I will study European history, culture and politics and I will specialize in one language and in the countries in which the language is spoken. Of course I will choose French. In the program one semester abroad is included. I will never go back to Paris. I'm thinking Belgium or some small town. I'm sick and tired of big cities.

.... But this is not what I wanted, so I will keep applying for the social science program. I couldn't apply this semester because I had yet to pass my math course that I need to be qualified to apply. I did pass the course so nothing is really standing in my way anymore... Time will tell I guess.. In the mean time I will be studying European culture and history and it will be fun. It has to be.

This is life, at its best.

I am having the best day ever! I passed my math course and I have just got back home from two beautiful weeks at my mother's place and here I am, watching Friends and relaxing. Tomorrow is a very busy day, I have to pack for my week end in Paris, and also I'm going with two of my sisters to the opening of an art exhibition in Helsingborg, by an painter called Fabian Edelstam.

Love this word, might be one of my favorite expressions in French: C'est un truc de fou

The great thing about staying at your mum's is that you have all the time in the world to go though her closet and find pretty things like this.

The beautiful evening walks.

My cute little doggies on our evening walk.

My sister has given me lots and lots of work at my dad's garden, here I am like the true country girl I am.

After a long day of work me and my sister jumped into the pool, cus today was HOT! (I'm wearing my old bathing suit that my sister found in drawer somewhere and is horrifyingly similar to the ones people wore in the 80's)
