The Help

I don't understand why this movie is not more famous than it is, at least not in Sweden. My mom got two free tickets from the magazine Amelia. She gave them to my sister and me, and we went last night to see a movie called The Help. It is, as so many other movies, originally a novel by Cathryn Stockett. A white young woman, Skeeter, decides to write a book from the perspective of the maids, about how it feels for an African American woman in the early 1960's to work in white households raising their white children, having to leave their own children pretty much raising themselves. I like this movie very much, it's very well done, not a lot of famous actors/actresses, which makes it even more interesting. I am sick and tired of familiar faces in movies. Enough, already!
